5^th September 2016, Karachi Pakistan’s leading cement manufacturer, Lucky Cement Limited has received the 13^th Annual Environment Excellence Award 2016. The awards ceremony, took place on the occasion of a conference titled “Making our cities sustainable” organised by The National Forum for Environment and Health. Provincial ministers, secretary environment, DG SEPA, representative of United Nations and other notables were also present on the occasion
Such awards bring recognition and promote organizations making an outstanding contribution to sustainable development and economic growth of the country at large, and are working explicitly in order to achieve economic and social development in Pakistan without damaging the environment and its natural resources.
“Conserving the environment is Lucky Cement’s utmost priority, and it is because of our commitment to the environment that we have made significant contributions in making our operations green and environment friendly”, said Amin Ganny, Chief Operating Officer of Lucky Cement at the occasion.
Lucky Cement also holds the prestigious ISO 14001 certification for environment management, ISO 9001 certificate for its quality management system, and OHSAS 18001 for its occupational health and safety.
