14^th January 2016, Karachi Lucky Cement Limited is honored with the 8th International Corporate Social Responsibility Award for its employee-volunteer initiatives during 2015. The National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) hosted the award, which is a non-profit organization working to promote the cause of healthcare and protection of natural environment. Each year, these awards are given to companies that play active role in fulfilling their corporate social responsibility.
Lucky Cement Limited is running regular educational and rural development programs in the distant villages of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh. It is also running various programs in local and international universities. Recently, the company conducted book distribution drive in efforts to empower local communities on the account of International Literacy Day. The books were donated to three underprivileged village schools situated in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Lucky Cement Limited also undertook the initiative of renovating Government Primary Girls School located in Korangi, Karachi as part of its employee volunteer programs.
In addition, Lucky Cement Limited is internationally recognized for its environmental management systems complying with international standard BS-EN14001:2004.
