Lucky Cement provides relief goods to 6000 families
25th October, Karachi Lucky Cement, Pakistan’s largest cement manufacturer has donated generously for the relief of displaced people affected by the recent floods in Sindh. In a very comprehensive and timely relief operation, the Company catered to the needs of 6,000 affected families in areas like Omer Koth, Sanghar, Tando Jan Mohammad, Sumaro, NauKoth, TandoAllaYar, Tando Mohammad Khan and Syedabad.
Relief bags, containing goods like rice, sugar, pulses, tea, other edibles, drinkable water, medicines, mosquito nets and blankets were distributed to the affected families across the devastated province. A team of Lucky Cement’s employees and associates personally looked after the distribution of relief goods.
In addition to the above intervention, Lucky Cement also generously supported and donated a handsome amount to All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) for the relief efforts as a separate project.
Lucky Cement has always been at the forefront in developing the local communities. The Company also played eminent role in the flood relief activities last year and in the relief of earthquake victims in 2005.
