Graduation did not feel like an ending, but a quiet beginning. I still remember packing up my hostel room at LUMS for the last time, folding away years of memories into boxes, while trying to process how quickly everything had changed. In many ways, my hostel experience had already begun preparing me for practical life. It was in those small, unglamorous moments from doing my own laundry for the first time, managing meals on days when everything felt overwhelming, keeping up with deadlines without anyone reminding me that I slowly learned what independence really meant. The transition from home to a new city was significant, and it taught me adaptability, and resilience. Living on my own, making decisions, and navigating both successes and setbacks quietly shaped my confidence.
Even so, stepping beyond university brought a different kind of uncertainty, one where familiar structure fell away, and decisions carried greater weight. Entering the professional world was both exciting and humbling.
At Lucky Cement, I was exposed to a fast-paced environment where expectations were high and the margin for error was small. Balancing work with pursuing my CFA qualification added another layer of difficulty. However, the support and flexibility that I was welcomed with specifically through study leaves and an encouraging environment, played a meaningful role in helping me grow both professionally and academically.
Over time, my aspirations have become less about reaching a destination and more about how I choose to move through life. I believe in holding onto lightness, to keep smiling and to help others smile, even in the face of hardship. Life is brief, and its value lies in the way we choose to live it each day. I strive to grow with intention, to pursue my goals with sincerity, and to leave a positive presence wherever I go. At the heart of my philosophy is a simple belief: a meaningful life is one that extends beyond itself. Helping others, showing respect, and being mindful not to hurt others are values I try to live by every day.
I may not have all the answers, but I aim to move forward with purpose, and to make the journey worthwhile, both for myself and for those around me.
